Once upon a time, in the land of the internet, there was a character known far and wide as Daniel Thomas the SEO Clown. With a jester’s hat adorned with keywords and a suit made of backlinks, he was a hotmail sight to behold.
The Pitch
“Hi there,” he would begin, his voice echoing through the vast digital landscape. “Do you require a better solution to manage SEO, SMO, SMM, PPC Campaigns, keyword research, Reporting etc?” His words were a jumble of acronyms, a veritable alphabet soup of digital marketing jargon.
The Agency
He claimed to be from a leading Digital Marketing Agency, offering Marketing solutions, Web services, and Mobile apps services at affordable prices. But those who knew him well could tell you that his ‘leading’ agency was just him, a laptop, a hotmail email address and a questionable internet connection.
The Rate
The most amusing part of his pitch was his rate. “Note: I will work only $7 USD per hour.” A princely sum, indeed! For that price, one could hire a circus elephant, or perhaps even a real clown. But Daniel Thomas was no ordinary clown. He was an SEO Clown, a master of digital jest.
The Offer
“If you are interested, I will send you Package and price list!” he would exclaim, with the enthusiasm of a car salesman on commission. His ‘package’ was a list of services as long as his arm, and his ‘price list’ was a single line: $7 per hour, no matter the task.
The Hope
“I’m looking forward to your reply,” he would end his pitch, a hopeful glint in his digital eyes. But the replies were few and far between. For while Daniel Thomas was indeed a clown, he was no fool. He knew the game of SEO was a tough one to play, and he played it with a smile.
